Guest Rabbi

We received so many glowing comments about last year's High Holiday services that we moved quickly to invite the same celebrants again.

For Rabbi Eva and for Rabbi Matt, it is again a homecoming. Rabbi Eva served as the Shul's Rabbi from 2016-2021, and Rabbi Matt was with us from 2014-2018. Adam Feder has been a constant since the early days of the Shul, and has been the glue that has held this community together. This year, Adam participates as our official Hazzan, having been ordained by Rabbi Burt this past spring.

Service Leaders

We have no minimum membership dues and we count on your generosity to ensure our future. We ask that you please explore our donation opportunities and contribute to one that resonates with you.

We're all volunteers! Would you like to volunteer to help during this year's services? Contact Karen Seidman at Karen@theshulofnewyork.org to volunteer.

Fine Print: We are required to strictly adhere to FDNY occupancy regulations for the safety of all. While we expect to accommodate everyone, we are required stop admitting people when occupancy limits are reached. If you arrive after the scheduled start of any service, you may not find a desired seat. Anyone attending a service may be photographed and/or videoed. By attending any of the listed High Holiday Services you are giving permission for these pictures and/or videos to appear on the Shul website, social media, and/or other Shul publications. ... Lawyers, feh!

Turn and Return Again: Strength and Spirit

Join us at the Angel Orensanz Foundation this holiday season for the power of community in these unsettled times. Take inspiration from the words of our services’ co-leaders: Hazzan Adam Feder, guest Rabbi Eva Sax-Bolder, and guest Rabbi Matthew Reimer.

Be uplifted by the music of the amazing Shul Band. Experience the warmth, humor, erudition and empathy of the celebrants and the open arms of The Shul of New York, where all people – from Atheists to Zoroastrians -- are welcome. Whether you’ve been with us before or not, come home to The Shul of New York this year.
